At the 30th of June it was finally time.
The first cut of the spade at the "Essigturm", combined with an international sales meeting and a summer festival. Additionally to many protagonists from the fields of politics, industry and economy all employees of the company Condensator Dominit aswell as the student body of art of the gymnasium in Brilon were invited. Condensator Dominit honored as leading innovator

Überlingen – This year the Condensator Dominit GmbH belongs to the leading innovators of the german mid-sized sector. The company from Brilon was honored by Ranga Yogeshwar, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and compamedia with the TOP 100 seal whitch was awarded for the 24th time. The middle-sized company convinced the independent jury of the selection process especially in the category "innovative success".

In 2014 we worked together with the car industry supplier "Borbet" and the grid operating company "westnetz" on a test project regarding our dynamic grid voltage regulator OSKAR®. Further information and measurments can be found here.

A garbage incineration plant uses the energy released by the incineration process to create water vapor which is used to generate electricity with a turbine. At the plant of our power plant customer motors which ran fixed to the mains have been replaced with new powerfull motors with frequency converters to better controll garbage transport cranes, blowers and many other garbage reproduction aggregates. Due to this massive use of frequency converters a not sinusoidal current was taken from the grid. The resulting high levels of harmonics greatly exceeded the compability levels of the regulations, which meant that plants could fall out and the warranty claims towards the suppliers of the plants would be non-applicable.

Sometimes not only filtering measures that compensate the reactive power are needed to ensure the energy supply quality, but also measures to dampen the harmonics are required. Previous solutions which are able to achieve the desired dampening effect are innefficient regarding energy aspects. Electric energy is transformed into heat which is ecologicaly counter-productive. SIMΩN is an active grid dampening measure which, opposed to previous measures with a similar effect, does not transform this energy into heat but returns it back into the energy supply grid.

To secure the quality of the electrical power supply, not only filtering measures are required for compensating reactive power, but also provisions for damping oscillations as well. Previous solutions, which can fulfill the desired damping effect, are under energy efficiency aspects rather inefficient as electrical power is ecological counterproductive transferred into heat. SIMΩN is an active procedure for grid damping, which, in contrast to previous passive filtering methods with a similar operating principle, is not transferring the active energy into heat but feeding it back into the grid as 50 Hz energy. SIMΩN is a "recycling system", which is transferring electromagnetically pollution into available energy. The focus of the works included in this project are signal processing and the design of highly efficient electronic power systems.
