SΦFIA® raises the bar in voltage controlled harmonic filtering. With a rising number of controlled loads, such as frequency converters or switch-mode power supplies, the number of loads with non-linear U-I-characteristic rises. This affects the electrical power supply grids in a way, as if they are a current source, which injects integer multiples of the fundamental current. These currents are named harmonics.

SΦFIA® has an automatic impendance regulation, which is used by the filter to set the suction power applied to the grid. Untill now it was necessary to know all details about the customers grid in order to have the filter designed by a specialist. We have integrated this know-how in the regulation electronics and allways recieve an optimal filter result.

We offer our customers everything that is involved in designing and projecting these 'actually' very complex systems. Due to our MIKA standard product portfolio, this is no longer a problem for us nowadays. 

The CD electrical engineers professionally design the plant in advance according to customer requirements and normative specifications. Simulate in advance - if necessary - software-technically the results of the planned measure and construct mechanically, as well as electrically, the entire power quality project. After final customer approval, the required components of the compensation or  filter circuit system are pre-assembled at our premises and expertly erected at the final location by our SCC-certified installation team.

SIMΩN®, the latest innovation from Condensator Dominit GmbH, sets new standards for ensuring power supply quality. The active rectifier in module design relies on a modern and low-loss silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor technology.

The SIMΩN® product combines the two functions:
1. Insertion of attenuation into electrical power supply networks for broadband reduction of noise levels
2. Reactive current compensation (capacitive and inductive) in a low-loss and highly dynamic manner.

 

SIMΩN® is primarily used when broadband filtering is required over a wide frequency range.

 

Energy recycling:
Another outstanding feature of the patented SIMΩN® filter system is that - demonstrably - the filtered harmonics are fed back into the grid locally and recycled, so to speak.

RεSI - Resonance-Elimination-System

The RESI product family is used when disturbances or resonance occur at higher frequencies unlike the case of classical higher-order harmonics. Using a sophisticated LC tank circuit, network resonances cannot be eliminated completely but they can only be shifted to a near frequency. By the introduction of Damping – e.g. a High Pass Resistor, resonances can be completely eliminated from the respective electrical systems. RESI systems are available for a higher range where attenuating the effect of commutation sag through High-Power converters is necessary.

The Thyristor Switched Control (TSC) systems is a dynamic compensation system which proves itself highly effective especially for the network suffering from fast changing loads. Voltage fluctuations as well as Flicker phenomena are consequences which arises from the operation of fast changing loads that too with a network having less short circuit power. 

The Thyra can reduce voltage dips due to its response time in millisecond range and therefore guarantees the trouble-free operation in weak networks for consumers like welding machines, crane systems, hydraulic press, saw cutters, shredders. The TSC systems, therefore, achieves an economic utilization of load. 

The THYRA is designed as a modular cabinet system. Each module consists of a spate supply, power capacitors, upstream choke coils and Dynaswitch, the thyristor switch consisting of all the function units required for the control. The microprocessor controlled RVT-D controller is required only once for all the connected modules connected by means of plug-in system. Switching operations are carried out with respect to the change in supply voltage and capacitor voltage and are therefore transient-free. Capacitors and choke coils are designed as per the power level and noise frequencies. The modular design of the system allows easy expansion of the overall system within the assembly unit.
